Judy Goss is a former Model, TV host, mother of twins, and founder of the group Over 40 Females.
SC: You are a Woman that has accomplished so much. What do you consider your greatest accomplishment?
JG: Thank you! I don’t think one specific thing is my greatest accomplishment, but having achieved all the successes in my career, along with raising my twin girls, is monumental to me.
SC: You were a model. Please can you tell us about your experiences?
JG: I was a high fashion model with Ford for many years, and traveled extensively around the world appearing in campaigns such as Armani, L’orealand Nivea, worked for Marie Claire, Elle, Bloomingdale’s, Macy’s, and many more magazines and clients such as this, and lived inexotic places such as Brazil, Germany, Italy, Miami and New York. I used to live in Miami Beach, and commute to Europe for a few days to work!
SC: You were a News butterfly tv anchor and interviewed me on your women’s powers segment, but have since moved on to new ventures. What do you feel about your experiences there?
JG: Newsbutterfly is a wonderful opportunity for women to express themselves on camera, and since I was an anchor there I was lucky enough to interview some of the most brilliant women like you! It’s a great place for women to learn about the way a TV show works, how to perform and what’s involved in the process.
SC: You have interviewed many people including Laura Bush. Do you have plans for more TV work?
JG: Oh yes, TV is my passion, and hosting is my specialty. I just finished my hosting reel for the past year, and it includes the interview with Laura Bush plus Barbara Corocoran, Nora Ephron, JeanChatszky and many other iconic women.
SC: You are launching your group over 40’s females. Please tell us more about that.
JG: Over 40 Females is a place for women over 40 to connect, encourage and inspire each other. It’s also a place for other people to learn from that demographic. So far we have a website/blog andFacebook, and women are interacting beautifully. We are officially launching Dec 3rd, and are planning live events, membership benefits, business opportunities and more for everyone that is involved!
SC: Is 40 the new 30?
JG: I always hate to label any age with any specific description or cliché…women these days who reach the age of 40 and beyond are feeling a new energy and connection with each other, and I’m here to encourage that. They are feeling younger than ever, and are the largest and most affluent demographic in the country!
SC: You are 6 feet tall. Do you feel it is an advantage or disadvantage being so tall?
JG: Well, it was definitely an advantage being a model, but it’s not an advantage when you’re trying to find an outfit or pair of shoes! And I’m only 5’9”, but the heels I wear make me over 6 feet, and I love it up there.
SC: How do you find time for Family life with all you do?
JG: I’m not sure…but I know I’m always juggling everything in my life 24/7. Fortunately or unfortunately, with the technology today we can catch up on work everywhere, and that affords me more time to be with my family at the end of the day. For example, if I’m waiting to meet someone, I will catch up on my emails, when before I may have waited to do that at home on my computerand it would take time away from family.
SC: What is next for Judy Goss?
JG: The success of a nationally acclaimed “Over 40 Females” and hosting my own TV show.
SC: What message would you like to give to the 14000 members of Societys choice?
JG: First of all, I’m so honored to be interviewed by Society’s Choice! What an incredible connection for men and women of all ages…but no matter what age you are, just be yourself. Give because you want to, dream because you desire and always reach beyond your limitations with passion and integrity and you will get what you want in life.
